To The Hague to visit Willem Bouman & Zn. violins

In the violin shop of Willem Bouman & Zn where these nice people make and repair violins, violas, cellos and basses.  We saw the pieces of wood that make a new violin, a double bass that was in the middle of being repaired.   We also learned that the horse hair used to make and repair the bows comes from horses in Canada who are fed and cared for extremely well.  Sick horses make thin hair.
